The Race to the Karaka Million Heats Up

The race towards the 2016 $1 million Karaka Million – New Zealand’s richest race – has heated up another notch with two-year-old What Choux Want (NZ) (Jimmy Choux) now at the top of the leaderboard in equal position with Tennessee (NZ) (Per Incanto).
The daughter of Jimmy Choux won the $17,500 Nobby Bussell Memorial Two-Year-Old over 800m at Riccarton Park on Saturday, earning her $10,935 in prizemoney, to match Tennessee who went to the top of the leaderboard after winning on debut three weeks ago, also sitting on $10,935 in prizemoney.
The next two-year-old race is for maiden fillies with the running of the $12,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance Pearl Series Race (1000m), set to run this Thursday, 8 October, at Tauherenikau.
