Ready to Run Breeze Up Clips Online Now

20 October 2016

The Breeze Up videos for NZB’s 2016 Ready to Run Sale of 2YOs are now available for viewing online.

A total of 513 two-year-olds breezed up at Te Rapa Racecourse on 17 & 18 October, with the final 200m of each Lot’s work timed and filmed. A full spreadsheet of times can also be downloaded from the online catalogue.

The most successful Sale of its kind in Australasia, the NZB Ready to Run Sale has been the source of 16 Group 1 wins in the past four seasons, where others have had none. Four of those Group 1 victories came during the 2015-16 season.

Dual Derby-winning hero Mongolian Khan (Holy Roman Emperor) led the charge with his Caulfield Cup victory last season, swiftly followed by fellow Ready to Run graduate and stable-mate Turn Me Loose (NZ) (Iffraaj) winning the Emirates Stakes at Flemington and Futurity Stakes at Caulfield.

The fourth Group 1 win for the Sale last season was produced by Dukedom (NZ) in the Levin Classic at Trentham.

Among the talent to emerge from the Ready to Run ranks are current Singapore stars Debt Collector (NZ) (Thorn Park) and Well Done (NZ) (Falkirk).

Debt Collector prevailed over Well Done to win the recent Sgp-1 Panasonic Kranji Mile in what was his sixth win from nine career starts, having previously claimed the Sgp-1 Singapore Guineas.

Well Done has had seven wins and six placings from his 18 starts headed by his win in the Sgp-1 Singapore Derby.
