Ready to Run 2YOs Breeze Through Day One

The first day of New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready to Run Sale Breeze Ups was completed successfully today with 167 two-year-olds dashing down the straight at Te Rapa Racecourse.

Today saw the two-year-olds breeze up on a Good 3 track with light showers and blustery conditions throughout the day.

Last year’s leading vendor at the Sale, Lyndhurst Farm, had a successful Day 1 presenting eight horses including the Fastnet Rock colt, Lot 358, who clocked a time of 10.63 seconds. Partnered with him was Lot 56, the gelding by Showcasing, who performed in a time of 10.62 seconds.

Also from Lyndhurst Farm is the Savabeel colt, Lot 153, who breezed in a time of 10.91 seconds, and paired with him was Lot 139, a colt by Choisir, recording a time of 10.92 seconds.

Cambridge preparer Diamond Lodge also had success today showcasing a number of juveniles including the Savabeel colt, Lot 256, who breezed in a time of 10.32 seconds when working with Lot 296, the colt by More Than Ready who clocked the same time.

Lot 161 by hot young sire Tavistock posted a time of 10.47 seconds for preparer Riversley Park, while Lot 184, by Australian sire Sebring, breezed up in a good time of 10.57 seconds for Prima Park.

Recording the fastest time of the day was Lot 106, the gelding by Domesday, clocking 10.25 seconds for Kilgravin Lodge when breezing up with a Postponed colt, Lot 35, from Westbury Stud who ran in a time of 10.29 seconds.
