Malaysia - Flight Information

Please refer to the MRA Criteria for Registration of New Zealand and Australian Horses.

Malaysian Authorities stipulate that horses must be resident in New Zealand continuously for at least 3 months immediately prior to export.

Horses are required to complete a Malaysian Racing Association (MRA) Veterinary Certificate within 4 months of importation to Malaysia. This will be submitted to the MRA prior to departure.  Please note, Radiographs are now optional. 

Vaccinations - Prior to entering pre-export isolation horses must undergo a complete course of vaccination against Strangles and Equine Influenza using a vaccine acceptable to the Malaysian Department of Veterinary Services.

Pre-export Isolation - Horse(s) are required to be in pre-export isolation, at a Government Approved Facility, for at least 14 days prior to the flight.

Tests - During pre-export isolation, horses are tested for Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA).

All mares destined for Malaysia must not be pregnant.
