Final Results for Karaka 2016

The curtain fell on New Zealand Bloodstock’s 90th National Yearling Sale Series on Sunday after a spirited six days of bidding action.

Tremendous growth underpinned Karaka 2016 highlighted by an all-time record median of $55,000, rising 22% from last year’s $45,000 and outperforming the previous record of $52,500 set at the historic 2008 National Yearling Sales Series.
Also increasing substantially was the aggregate which totalled $86,193,400 (28% higher than last year’s $67,388,650), along with the average that reached $88,042 (17% higher than last year’s $75,043) and a robust clearance rate of 80% (compared with 75% last year).
