Sakhee’s Secret mare Twoznotenough (NZ), who cost $21,000 as a yearling at the 2012 Select Sale, sent her prize-money earnings past $100,000 and greatly enhanced her prospective broodmare value with a first black-type win in Saturday’s $50,000 Listed Speight’s Mid Ale Great Easter Stakes at Riccarton.

The six-year-old went straight to the lead and defied all challengers in the 1400-metre race, holding on strongly under a well-paced ride by Leah Hemi to beat fellow Karaka graduate Maybe Miami (NZ) (Iffaaj) by three-quarters of a length.

Twoznotenough has now had 29 starts for seven wins, six placings and $121,476 in prize-money.

The mare was trained for her first 27 starts by part-owner Allan Sharrock, until the decision was made to transfer her to the Riccarton stable of Les Didham in search of black-type success in the South Island. Twoznotenough is unbeaten in two starts since that move, having made a successful South Island debut in last month’s $40,000 Francolin Stakes (1400m) at Riverton.

Twoznotenough was bred by Gillovic Bloodstock Ltd and was offered by Brent Gillovic’s Highview Stud at the 2012 Select Sale, where Sharrock bought her for $21,000.
