Dan Myers has all the assets for a repeat leading vendor title at the Karaka May Sale and his Written Tycoon colt (Lot 190) has provided the new top-priced Lot on Day 1.

BR Bloodstock trumped the bidding action when they went to $170,000 to secure the colt who will head to Hallmark Stud for his yearling preparation.

“He’s by Written Tycoon who is obviously on fire at the moment,” commented Hallmark Stud’s Mark Baker.

“He has a wonderful temperament – the last few days have been really busy and he never batted an eyelid.

“He’s just a good, strong and correct moving horse - one of the better colts at the Sale.

“The plan is to bring him back here in January as a yearling. If you go over to Australia there will be 60 or 70 Written Tycoons whereas here there might only be one or two and he will stand right out.”

BR Bloodstock have secured a total of four lots for an aggregate of $201,000, while Dan Myers has sold eight lots for $297,000 in total receipts.
