Day 2 of the bidding action at NZB’s Karaka May Sale saw the son of Little Avondale Stud’s Per Incanto make $80,000.

Consigned by Trelawney Stud, Lot 299 is out of stakes-winning Zabeel mare Ritzy Lady and is a half-brother to Australian Group Three performer Le Societe (Anabaa). BR Bloodstock was bidding on behalf of Shane McGrath of Aquis Farm who was pleased to secure the weanling.

“He’s one of the nicest colts I have seen all year,” commented McGrath.

“He is a good type and has all sorts of improvements in him. His sire Per Incanto is going well up in Hong Kong too.

“He will go into our system and will likely be reoffered here next year in January.”

Earlier in the day, another Per Incanto colt was offered through Little Avondale Stud’s draft at Lot 263. Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock went to $65,000 to acquire the son of winning Stratum mare Our Design.
