Baggy Green (Galileo)

In recent years, the appetite for premium online stock has increased substantially as evidenced in the multiple million-dollar earning auctions hosted on Gavelhouse Plus. New Zealand broodmares are well respected in the Australian market, with strong demand anticipated for quality mares entered. Here are some examples of just a few standout mares offered on Gavelhouse Plus recently:

Offered as a part of the Valachi Downs Breeding Stock Dispersal, Baggy Green (Galileo) realised $1,750,000 last week, selling to Yulong’s Written Tycoon Syndicate.

Nine-time Group One winner Avantage (Fastnet Rock) fetched a whopping $4.1 million when selling to Tom Magnier of global breeding giant Coolmore via Gavelhouse Plus in September 2021, establishing a world record for any horse sold online.

Savabeel mare Yearn (NZ) was offered on Gavelhouse Plus by Lupton Bloodstock in the inaugural National Broodmare Sale in 2021. She was purchased for $195,000 by Ben Kwok’s Lionrock Bloodstock.
