25 June 2008

Karaka Select Sale graduate Farson (Postponed Lady Gesine by Grosvenor) produced his third stakes win with an all-the-way victory in the Listed Macau Gold Cup (1800m) at Taipa on Saturday.

Bred by Mike Tololi's Karaka Group Ltd, Farson was bought by Dean Hawthorne on behalf of Mick Price for NZ$85,000 from Hallmark Stud's 2005 draft.

The Peter Leyshan-trained four-year-old has also won the Listed Macau Derby Trial and the Listed Macau Derby for his owner, Mr Vincent Li.

Lady Gesine is a half-sister to Lloyd Williams' gallant galloper and Group 1 Sydney Cup winner Gallic (Zabeel) and is from the family of Soliloquy Lodge's Group 1 NZ Oaks winner and Filly of the Year, Solveig (Imposing).

Other stakes-winners by the Stoney Bridge sire Postponed include Dorabella, Pasta Post, Naturo, and Post Thyme.
