Karaka 2011 Preview on TVN Tonight

Tonight Australian interests will be able to watch the first preview for the 2011 Karaka Yearling Sales at 8.30pm eastern summer time on TVN.

The show will feature in-depth previews from some of New Zealand's leading vendors: Cambridge Stud, Curraghmore Stud, Pencarrow Stud, The Oaks Stud, Trelawney Stud, Waikato Stud, Whakanui Stud and Windsor Park Stud.

The line up of yearlings these studs have entered in the Karaka Sales is outstanding and include:

Lot 6, the colt by O'Reilly from Waikato Stud, a brother to Vigor and Joey Massino, and a half-brother to Vincent Mangano.

Lot 28, the colt by Darci Brahma from Curraghmore Stud out of the Group 1 winning mare Saint Cecile, the dam of the stakes placed Target.

Lot 37, the colt by Zabeel from the Oaks Stud out of the seven time Group 1 winner and two time New Zealand Horse of the Year, Seachange.

Lot 208, the High Chaparral colt from Windsor Park, a half-brother to the Group 1 winner Prince Kaapstad.

Lot 323, the colt by Flying Spur from Trelawney Stud, a half-brother to the Group 3 winner Rockwood, the colt is from the dual Group 1 winning Centaine mare Foxwood. 

Lot 346, Pencarrow Stud's colt by Pins, a half-brother to the multiple Group 1 winner and sire Darci Brahma. 

Lot 450, the Encosta de Lago filly from Whakanui Stud, a half-sister to the international Group 1 winner Green Birdie.

Lot 466, the Red Ransom colt from Cambridge Stud, a half-brother to the Group 1 winner and current NZB Filly of the Year Series leader King's Rose.

The New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale Series will begin with the Premier Sale on 31 January & 1 February. The Select Sale will run from 2 - 4 February with the Festival Sale on 6 & 7 February.
