Karaka Million Barrier Draw Live at Karaka

The live barrier draw format for New Zealand Bloodstock’s $1m DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka Million 2YO (1200m) and $1m Karaka Million 3YO Classic (1600m) will take place on Wednesday 20 January at the iconic Karaka Sales Centre.
The barrier draw format for both races will see connections being invited to personally draw their own barrier by picking which stall they prefer, in order of the horses being drawn. Horses that are drawn out early give their connections the opportunity to pick the best starting gate for the two million dollar features.
Presenter Michael Guerin will host the event from 10.30am, which will be broadcast live from the Garden Bar Lawn at Karaka. Follow all the action and post-draw commentary by tuning into Trackside 1 (SKY Channel 62), watching online at www.nzb.co.nz, or on NZB’s facebook page.
The eyes of the thoroughbred world will tune in to Auckland from Saturday 23 January, with the Karaka Million Twilight race meeting at Ellerslie providing a perfect entrée for the live selling action that follows at NZB’s 95th National Yearling Sales Series.
