The New Zealand-bred horses continue to reap success as reflected through the likes of It’s A Dundeel (NZ) (High Chaparral), Lucia Valentina (NZ) (Savabeel), Sacred Falls (NZ) (O’Reilly), Preferment (NZ) (Zabeel).

Australian Carnivals are consistently dominated by New Zealand horses and Australian trainers view the Karaka Yearling Sales as the platform in finding a classically bred horse to go the distance.

Horses bred in New Zealand have won 32% of Australian 3YO Group 1 races in the past five seasons including 44% of 3YO Group 1 races at 2000m and beyond.
