NZB Broodmare Sale Catalogues Out Now

Catalogues for New Zealand Bloodstock's National Broodmare Sale, scheduled for 6 & 7 August at Karaka, are now available.
The Sale will feature a total of 365 catalogued lots including 289 broodmares, 15 yearlings, 17 two-year-olds, 23 racehorses, 15 untried horses and 6 stallion shares.
This year's National Broodmare Sale has moved to its new August date to take advantage of New Zealand's revised depreciation regime which comes into effect on 1 August. The change to the law will see a decrease in the maximum write-down period for broodmares from 8 years to 5 years (or 6 years for those few that commence breeding at age 2). Broodmares that commence breeding at age 8 and over will be written-off in full in the first year of breeding.
