NZB Ready to Run Catalogue Now Online

23 September 2011

The catalogue for New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale, the most successful Sale of two-year-olds in Australasia, is now available and can be viewed online.

Producing 10 individual Group 1 winners in the past five seasons across Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand, New Zealand Bloodstock's Ready to Run Sale has seen its graduates win 90 stakes races in six countries in the last five years.

The success continued last season with the Graeme Rogerson trained Shootoff (NZ) (Duelled) adding his name to the Sale's growing Group 1 honours list when winning the Group 1 Queensland Derby.

His name now joins the likes of Group 1 winning graduates Able One, Eskimo Queen, Ista Kareem, Military Move, Rockdale, Vonusti and many more.

Last season saw seven graduates notch up black-type victories in Australia with Linton (Galileo), Folding Gear (NZ) (Johar) and Sworn to Secrecy (NZ) (Keeper) all winning at Group 2 level, Lord Pyrus (NZ) (Pyrus) taking a Group 3 victory at Caulfield, and Enjin Number Nine (NZ) (Zenno Rob Roy) and The Underworld (NZ) (High Chaparral) winning at Listed level.

In Asia, the outstanding performer Able One (NZ) (Cape Cross) was again to the fore when winning the Group 2 Jockey Club Mile in Hong Kong, was adding to the success shared by Fat Kid (NZ) (Handsome Ransom), Dontellthewife (NZ) (Volksraad) and St Peter's Gift (NZ) (St. Petersburg) who all secured black-type.

And with Singapore's Sgp-3 Committee's Prize last Sunday seeing the Mark Walker trained Flying Fulton (Flying Spur) bring up the first stakes victory for the Sale this season, he will be gunning for his first Group 1 in the Kranji Mile next weekend.

The Sale's success on the home front saw Hold it Harvey (King Cugat), Barside (NZ) (Tobougg) and Loose Change (NZ) (Faltaat) all win at stakes level. Hold it Harvey will also be looking to secure a Group 1 victory next weekend in the Group 1 New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance Spring Classic after running a solid third to Jimmy Choux (NZ) in the Group 1 Windsor Park Plate.

With over 350 two-year-olds set to be auctioned in this year's Ready to Run Sale, the catalogue is filled with a top selection of young horses set to satisfy this Sale's growing international demand, and features an outstanding selection of leading New Zealand and Australian sires.
