NZB Ready to Run Sale’s 3 Stakeswinners in 9 Days

19 November 2012

With three stakes winners in just nine days, NZB’s Ready to Run Sale is hitting peak form at the very best time, the day before the 2012 Sale which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 20 & Wednesday 21 November at Karaka.

New Zealand Bloodstock’s Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds has averaged 14 stakes winners per season over the last five seasons, and has seen three graduates win black-type races in the last nine days.

Kullu (Elvstroem) was the first of the trio, winning the Listed Gold Club Metropolitan Trophy (2500m) at Riccarton on November 10 by eight lengths. The hugely promising Nashville (Darci Brahma) then made it a double with a huge performance to land last Wednesday’s Group 2 Coupland’s Bakeries Mile.

And last night it was Glorious Days (Hussonet) who beat a star studded field – including dual Hong Kong Horse of the Year Ambitious Dragon (Pins) – in the Group 2 Jockey Club Mile.

Crowned Hong Kong’s most Improved Horse at the 2012 HKJC Champion Awards, Glorious Days is now heading for the Group 1 Hong Kong Mile in three weeks where he will be looking to make it back-to-back Hong Kong Miles for the Ready to Run Sale.
