Doubling in size from last year's inaugural Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale, the 2009 event really packs a punch this year with quality assembled right through the 111 broodmares, 58 yearlings, 17 two-year-olds, 14 unraced horses, and 11 raced horses catalogued.

The Sale - topped by Sharp Princess (Pins - She's Snubbed, by O'Reilly) in 2008 when she was sold from the Twin Pines draft for $170,000 - will again see tremendous representation from the same vendor in 2009, both in terms of quality and quantity.

Mike Tololi's Twin Pines will offer 93 thoroughbreds at the Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale, with many providing outstanding prospects for buyers at every level of the market.

Broodmares will sell first this time around, and with the breeding season less than a month away breeders with a keen sense of opportunity will be sure to find quality at value prices.

Highlighting the broodmares is Lot 102 Honor Lap (Honor Grades), winner of the Group 1 WATC Derby and Group 2 West Australian Oaks. Just ten years old, Honor Lap has had two foals to race including Sydney winner Lap of Honor and Zabeel three-year-old Top Gallant, who has placed in Australia this season for owners Les Samba and Ron Medich.

With a Hussonet filly and a Zabeel colt still to hit the track, Honor Lap is offered for sale by Haunui Farm as agent, in foal to leading New Zealand stallion Pins.
