South Island Karaka Million Entries Close Today

All yearlings purchased at New Zealand Bloodstock’s South Island Session on 13 April are eligible to be nominated for the Karaka Million Series with entries closing today.

The Karaka Million Series is an incentive series for graduates of New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sales Series of which the South Island Sale now forms a part.

Horses entered by 5pm today will be eligible to compete in the $1m Karaka Million – New Zealand’s richest race – as two-year-olds, the $250,000 Karaka 3YO Mile – which has received a $150,000 increase to prizemoney – plus the new $100,000 Karaka Stayers Cup from 2018, all for just one entry fee.

The entry fee for the Karaka Million Series remains the same as last year at $1,750 + GST and is not due until 30 June. Entry nominations must be lodged with New Zealand Bloodstock by 5pm today. This is a firm deadline.
