Tracktalk Takes Mercedes Super Bonus

17 March 2003

Tracktalk (Armidale x Mountain Jewel) was too good for her rivals in the Mercedes Super Bonus Two-Year-Old (800m) at Otaki on Saturday and as an enrolled horse picked up the Mercedes $10,000 Bonus.

Tracktalk set the pace the entire way and was able to pull away in the home straight to defeat the game Magistra Delecta (Al Akbar x Grosvenor's Girl) by a length, with Snipight (Snippets x Spectacular Light) a length back in third place.

The Paul O'Sullivan trained filly was purchased by Robert Hewetson at the 2002 New Zealand Bloodstock Festival Sale for $30,000 from the draft of Phoenix Park. The Armidale filly is raced by the Tracktalk 2002 Syndicate.

The talented Tracktalk has now made it two wins and two placings from five starts, including a second at Group 2 level in the Bank of New Zealand Breeders Stakes.

The next race in the Mercedes Super Bonus Series is the rich $100,000 New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Classique at Tauranga on March 29.

On the same day there is also a Mercedes Super Bonus race for 2YOs at Manawatu, with a $10,000 Mercedes Bonus up for grabs.
