NYSS: South Island Session

The annual South Island showcase will be held on Friday 17 April from 11am at the Canterbury Agricultural Park in Christchurch. As part of NZB's National Yearling Sale Series, this is your last chance to buy a yearling to enter in the Karaka Million Series.

Premier Yearling Sale

The Premier Sale finished with an average of $150,881 and a median of $120,000, both figures increasing from last year’s Sale. The aggregate concluded at $44,962,500 with a clearance rate of 75%.

Select Yearling Sale

The three-day Select Sale concluded on par with last year’s Sale with an average of $46,813 and a median of $35,000. The total aggregate was $18,304,000 and a clearance rate of 75% with 21 fewer horses catalogued from the previous year.

Festival Yearling Sale

The bumper one-day Festival Sale closed Karaka 2015 with an increased average from the previous year at $14,670, with the median remaining at $10,000. From the 329 yearlings catalogued, the clearance rate was recorded at 71% for a total aggregate of $2,816,650.
