Luen On Treasure (Dane Shadow), who cost $60,000 at the 2015 Ready to Run Sale at Karaka, picked up the first black-type win of his career with a dominant performance in Saturday’s M$550,000 Listed Lisboa Challenge Final (1500m) in Macau.

Ridden by Luis Corrales for trainer Geoff Allendorf, Luen On Treasure left his seven rivals gasping in his wake with a resounding five-length win.

The three-year-old gelding has now won three of his 10 starts, along with three placings, for prize-money in excess of M$650,000.

From the family of multiple Group 1-winning Kiwi sprinter Bawalaksana (NZ) (Straight Strike), Luen On Treasure was bred in New South Wales by Nick Moraitis.

Offered at the 2015 Ready to Run Sale by Kilgravin Lodge, he was bought by the Macau Jockey Club for $60,000.

Overall, five of the winners on Saturday’s nine-race programme were graduates of Karaka sales. River Pearl (NZ) (Jimmy Choux) cost $20,000 at the 2015 Select Sale, Laughing World (NZ) (One Cool Cat) was bought for $115,000 at the 2008 Premier Sale, and Tak Fai Of Pins (NZ) (Pins) cost $59,000 at the 2015 Ready to Run Sale. Falcoshow (NZ) (Showcasing) didn’t meet his $30,000 reserve at the 2014 Ready to Run Sale.
