Capacity Field For Soliloquy As Fillies Chase Series Points

22 October 2003

Saturday's Goldstar Soliloquy Stakes (Listed, 1400m) at the Auckland Racing Club has attracted a full field of 18 runners all hunting for points in the New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year Series.

The Series is currently headed by the exciting Graeme Rogerson and Stephen Autridge trained Taatletail (Faltaat x Defensive Lady) who is heading straight for the New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas, not lining up on Saturday, making the Soliloquy a great opportunity for other fillies to gain some valuable points in the Series.

Top chances on Saturday include Gr.2 Lindauer Guineas winner Bridie Belle (Al Akbar x Golinda) recent trial winner and stakes winner Kalamata (Desert Prince x Kirtlington), last start winners Miss Tea Rose (Gold Brose x Miss Tree), Ocean Melodie (Unbridled's Song x French Tide), The Bell Ringer (Masterclass x Buzz My Bell), Flying Feathers (Tuscany Flyer x Queen Chick), Anne Carina (Danske Lidahya) and consistent performers Society Cat (Felix the Cat x Liberty Dancer) and Hot Elle (Al Akbar x Hot Classic).

Other runners on Saturday include Artemesia (Peintre Celebre x Incommunicado), Brillianti (Slavic x Illuminate), Dragon Maiden (Mughtanim x Hellriegel), Eminem (Masterclass x Our Martee), Her Hidden Talent (Groom Dancer x Royal Recluse), Luca (Gold Brose x Pure Vice), Purrfection (Tale of the Cat x Nothing Less), Quivera (Spinning World x Wichita) and Sarah Vee (End Sweep x Captivating).

The points allocated for Saturday's listed race will be

2nd 2 points
3rd 1 point

The next race in the Series will be the Group 1 New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas on 8 November.
