Vee For Victory In Soliloquy

Saturday's Listed Goldstar Soliloquy Stakes (1400m) at the Auckland Racing Club saw a hot new contender emerge for the prestigious title of 2003-04 New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year.

Sarah Vee (End Sweep x Captivating) took charge early in the straight and crossed the line with 2 lengths to spare ahead of second placed Bridie Belle (Al Akbar x Golinda) with Her Hidden Talent (Groom Dancer x Royal Recluse) a further � length back in third.

Trained by Mike Moroney and Andrew Scott, Sarah Vee now has 4 points in the New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year Series which puts her in second place on the points table behind Taatletail (Faltaat x Defensive Lady), who has 12 points.

Owned by Mr Ross Vernall, Sarah Vee is now said to be aimed at the next race in the Series the Group 1 New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas on 8 November at the Canterbury Jockey Club, where she will most likely go head to head with Taatletail.
