New Autumn Sale 2yos Set To Breeze Up Tomorrow

3 April 2003

New Zealand Bloodstock's first ever Autumn 2YO Sale featuring a breeze up session is fast approaching, with the 35 2YO's on offer scheduled to complete their breeze ups at the Cambridge Jockey Club tomorrow from 1pm onwards.

18 of the breeze up session horses were originally selected by New Zealand Bloodstock for its annual Singapore Ready to Run Sale, but with Singapore currently experiencing an economic downturn they will instead be offered for sale at the Autumn 2YO Sale on May 9.

The New Zealand Bloodstock owned 2YO's are all genuine untried horses, 17 of which were selected at the 2002 National Yearling Sales Series for their likely suitability for Asian racing. They have been expertly broken in, educated and pre-trained by Dean Hawthorne of Anzac Lodge and are ready to begin their racing careers.

The great lineup of 2YO's originally destined for Singapore includes geldings by Daggers Drawn, Danske, Deputy Governor, Faltaat, Kashani, Kilimanjaro, Lord Ballina, Mellifont, Oregon, O'Reilly, Pompeii Court, Soviet Star, Torrential, Vialli, Volksraad and Woodborough.
