NZB's Clint Donovan to be Based in Waikato

11 March 2011

New Zealand Bloodstock sales representative and auctioneer, Clint Donovan, currently based at NZB's head office in Karaka, will relocate to Cambridge later this month.

Formerly based in Australia, Clint has been coming to Karaka for the last four years as an auctioneer for the National Yearling Sales Series. In July last year he made the permanent move to New Zealand to take up a full-time position with New Zealand Bloodstock in the role of sales representative with the bloodstock team.

Since then, as one of the company's three bloodstock agents, Clint has shared the responsibility of looking after local buyers and vendors throughout the country. With such a vast number of key clients being based in the Waikato region, Clint sees his relocation as an important part of NZB providing the most effective service to its clients.

"With many of New Zealand's biggest and most successful thoroughbred nurseries in the Waikato region it is vital to have someone there to keep a finger on the pulse, and keep in close touch with our clients," he commented.

"Since Mike Kneebone left to head up the Singapore office, NZB hasn't had a representative living in that area so I'm excited to take on that responsibility."

"I am really looking forward to the move - Cambridge reminds me a lot of home which is great, and there is no shortage of familiar faces in the area.

"It is a role that I am really excited about and I'm looking forward and getting stuck into it to provide an enhanced service to our clients and seeing what the future brings."

With Clint moving to Cambridge he will be the first point of contact for New Zealand Bloodstock clients in the Southern Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Taupo, Central Districts and Palmerston North regions, in addition to continuing his role as the South Island representative.

Danny Rolston will take on responsibility for regions north of Huntly and Thames, and the Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington regions, while John Cameron will be the company's representative for the Central and Northern Waikato region.
