So You Think & Monaco Consul Siblings at Karaka 2010

Half-siblings to two of Australia's top rated three-year-olds, So You Think and Monaco Consul, will be offered by Windsor Park Stud this year at Karaka.

Both So You Think and Monaco Consul were sold through the Windsor Park draft which, in 2010, includes 94 yearlings across the New Zealand Bloodstock Sales Series.

Lot 221, a bay colt by Elusive City from Group 2 winner Triassic (Tights), is sure to be a popular member of the draft given the deeds of his half-brother this season.

So You Think (High Chaparral x Triassic) was trained by Bart Cummings to win Australasia's elite weight-for-age race, the Group 1 Cox Plate Stakes (2040m) in his classic year.

Currently rated Australasia's best three-year-old, So You Think also took the Group 3 Gloaming Stakes and placed in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1600m) in just six career starts.

Headed for the Group 1 AJC Derby in the autumn, So You Think is one of seven foals to race for Triassic, all of which are winners.

Her Elusive City colt headed towards Karaka 2010 looks every chance of continuing his mother's 100% record with progeny winning on the track.

Elusive City's oldest progeny, as just four-year-olds, boast 72% of winners from runners, with his stakes performers including Lamington Vegas, Metropolitan, Adhashim, Spirit of Unicorn, and Returntosender.

Six winners from nine starters through Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as Group 1 winners like Elusive Wave in Europe, show the adaptability of his progeny and his strong sales record in 2009 proves his success has not gone unnoticed.

At Lot 221 the colt is set to sell the end of day one of the Karaka Premier Session, while early on the second day of Premier will see another highlight from the Windsor Park Stud draft go under the hammer.

Lot 274, a brown filly by Golan out of Argante (Star Way) carries stacks of residual value with recognisable Group 1 winners under each of her first three dams.

Most notably the filly is a half-sister to this season's Group 1 VRC Derby and Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Monaco Consul.

Unbeaten in Australia where he is rated just behind So You Think in the ANZ Three-Year-Old Classification, Monaco Consul has already won over $1,000,000 in just half a season of racing.

He is one of three winners for his dam Argante, herself a half-sister dual Group 1 winner and sire Military Plume (Sir Tristram). The depth of the family does not end there with last season's Group 1 winners Niconero (Danzero) and Nicconi (Bianconi) appearing under Lot 274's �third dam Frivole (Le Filou), herself placed in the Group 2 Wellington Oaks.

By Golan, the sire of Group 1 Hong Kong Champions Mile winner Beauty Flash and Group 1 VRC Derby winner Kibbutz, Lot 274 is a filly whose pedigree screams classics.

Windsor Park Stud's half-siblings to So You Think and Monaco Consul have arrived at Karaka safe and well and have been available for inspection over the past two days.
