Taatletail Looks To Extend Lead In Second Leg Of Fillies Series

The second leg of the New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year Series takes place this Saturday with the running of the Gr.3 Indian Danehill Lowland Stakes (1400m) for the Masterton Racing Club at Trentham.

The fillies which have accepted for the race include the current series leader, Taatletail (Faltaat x Defensive Lady), trained by Graeme Rogerson and Stephen Autridge, who collected 6 points for her win in the first leg of the Filly of the Year Series the Gr.3 Highview Stakes at Hawkes Bay on 13th September .

Pay My Bail (Justice Prevails x Ebony Jane) who ran third in the Highview Stakes is also set to line up on Saturday. Trained by Stephen and Trevor McKee, Pay My Bail currently has 1.5 points on the Filly of the Year points table.

Recent winners in Saturday's line up include Dick and Chris Bothwell trained Danette (Danske x Amynette), Grant Laursen trained Bev's Choice (Al Akbar x On the Murray), and Howie and Lorraine Matthews trained Her Hidden Talent (Groom Dancer x Royal Recluse)

Other runners include; Clifton (Bahhare x Instantly), Magistra Delecta (Al Akbar x Grosvenor's Girl), Rutland Lass (Hadaad x She's Good), Starkay (Towkay x Classic Realm), Dragon Maiden (Mughtanim x Hellriegel), Sarah Vee (End Sweep x Captivating), Eternal Melody (Shinko King x Billie Holiday), J'Lo (Unbridled's Song x Jen's Halo), Turtle Creek (Turtle Island x Lady Whitby) and Whatronnielikes (Hunza Court x Slightly Dangerous).
