Hello Youmzain landed the second Group One sprint of his career when taking the Gr.1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) at Royal Ascot overnight (Sunday morning NZ time), sporting the colours of Cambridge Stud proprietors Brendan and Jo Lindsay.

The four-year-old Kodiac entire, who is owned by Haras d'Etreham and Cambridge Stud and trained by Kevin Ryan, landed the Gr.1 Haydock Sprint Cup (1200m) in 2019 and was also third at the 2019 Royal Meeting in the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup (1200m).

Entries for New Zealand Bloodstock’s 2021 National Yearling Sales Series are now open with the Sale set to take place next summer at the Karaka Sales Centre from Sunday 24 January until Friday 29 January.

Otago equine veterinarian, Dr Peter Gillespie, is proud to personally deliver the latest horse ambulance manufactured at TL MacLean’s Dunedin workshop to its new home base in Auckland.

Dr Gillespie and his colleague, Dr Bill Bishop came up with the idea of a national horse ambulance service eight years ago and Dr Gillespie acknowledges the hard work and determination of NZHAT Trust Chair Martin Burns to help make it happen.

NZB Airfreight on Track to Resume Flights

Following the temporary suspension of equine exports last week due to a positive case of equine piroplasmosis, NZB Airfreight is confident that travel will resume shortly with increased testing and pre-export protocols.

The single case of the tick-borne protozoal disease was detected by the Ministry of Primary Industries and grounded flights just two weeks following the resumption of exports post COVID-19.
