Steeped in history, the National Yearling Sales Series is the flag bearing sale for New Zealand breeders and the annual showcase of quality thoroughbred youngsters set for racetrack stardom. Buyers from around the globe tune in to Karaka for this week-long selling extravaganza which sees the cream of the crop catalogued for sale.

Set apart from the rest of the world, enviable bloodlines run the length and breadth of New Zealand, producing some of the very best yearlings on the planet. Grown on mineral rich soils, blanketed with a temperate climate, bathed in ample sunlight hours and nourished by lush green pastures. New Zealand's unique environmental qualities are born of nature and give New Zealand bred and raised thoroughbreds their distinct winning advantage.

But you don't get Group One-winning racehorses purely from nature. There's toil behind the triumph. Expert kiwi horsemen and women understand what it takes to breed, raise and prepare champions. Wisdom knows no boundary, with purpose-built facilities designed to grow out young thoroughbreds.

The synergy between premium bloodstock on offer, Group One accolades produced by our horses, leading technology, sale transparency and world-famous hospitality combine at Karaka for an unforgettable experience.
